Program Description

Ecole Supérieure d’Agriculture d’Angers (ESA)
- Located in Angers, France, in the famous Loire Valley, approx 90 minutes from Paris
- Largest institute of higher education for life sciences in France

Program duration:
Approx late May - early July

Prerequisites
- Open to all majors and minors
- Open to ISU undergraduates and some graduate students
- ISU cum GPA of 2.5 or higher
- 2 full semesters at ISU or other college/university

Academic Programs
- In addition to regular classes and field trips, participants will specialize in one of four areas: Agriculture & Agribusiness; Horticulture; Viticulture & Wine Making; and Rural Tourism & Gastronomy
- Students will have the opportunity to meet with professionals working in their chosen areas of study
- A full week is devoted to traveling to Chartres, Paris, and Versailles
- All courses are taught in English, there is no French language prerequisite for this program

Housing
- Students will be housed with French host families or with local ESA students
- Housing during field trips is provided
- Students will receive a free buss pass for the local bus system
