• Located in Dublin, Ireland
• Students will visit PK-12 classrooms in Dublin and in surrounding areas
• This program is affiliated with CEA Global Education with campus classrooms located in the CEA Dublin Center, on Dawson Street, close to famous shopping, landmarks, tourist, and restaurant areas
• CEA Dublin Center is located in Dublin's city center south of the River Liffey



Academics _______________


• This program is designed to expose students the Irish education system and its culture
• Students will visit Dublin, elementary/high schools, and a special education school
• Student will receive 5-15 clinical hours counted toward diverse settings
• Students will take ONE of the following courses for a total of 3 credits: SED 287 (Independent Study) 3 credits OR TCH 265 (Curriculum and Pedagogical Issues in Education in a Global Society) 3 credits

Prerequisites _______________

• Education majors are preferred
• Must have an ISU cumulative GPA of a 2.5 or higher
• Need to have completed two full semesters at ISU or other university or college
• Students must have successfully completed a criminal background check in order to visit schools



Housing & Meals _______________


• Students will live in a single room in a fully furnished three-to-four bedroom apartment
• Apartments have shared kitchen/living space and bathrooms
• Housing is located within walking distance of the CEA Dublin Center Campus, grocery store, and bus stops



Student Life _______________


• Sites to see include the famous Temple Bar area, Trinity College, Dublin Castle, Phoenix Park, and the Guiness Brewery
• Dublin is a bustling city with live theatre and music. As a group, students will have the opportunity to attend Irish cultural activites such as Irish dancing, visits to historical sites, night at the theater, scenic cliff walk, and greyhound racing
• Program includes a weekend excursion to Galway, day trip to Belfast, and day trip Glendalough
