• Located in the city of Vladimir, one of Russia's oldest communities
• The city is located approximately 115 miles northeast of Moscow
• The city is home to several award winning museums, art galleries, and theaters

• Students will take one 3 credit hour course
• KNR 287: Independent Study: Cultural Immersion in Russia (for undergraduate students)
• KNR 400.1 Independent Study: Cultural Immersion in Russia (for graduate students)

Prerequisites _______________


• Open to exercise science, physical education, therapeutic recreation, athletic training, recreation management, and nursing majors only
• Open to undergraduate and graduate students
• Must have completed 24 credit hours of university credit
• Must be a currently enrolled Illinois State University Student
• Must have an ISU cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.5 or higher or 3.0 cumulative graduate GPA

• Students will stay in hotels or with homestay families



Student Life _______________

• Be immersed in Russian culture and learn about current trends and issues in the fields of exercise science, sports medicine, athletic training, therapeutic recreation, and physical education
• Visit villages in The Golden Ring, ancient Russian towns that date back to the 12th and 17th centuries
• Visit the city of Moscow
• Tour facilities where graduates in the field work
