• The University of Brighton is located in South Downs countryside and situated by the English Channel and the Chalk Cliffs of Beachy Head
• London is approximately one hour away
• This program is conducted on Falmer campus which is one of several campuses belonging to Brighton University
• Brighton University hosts an annual summer program for American students and professionals in education
Academics _______________
• Education seminars are conducted by experienced deans, department heads, and faculty and staff
• Students study a combination of British education and culture, and a course in drama/literacy
• Academics are a mixture of lecture seminars and are combined with visits to local and inner city schools
• Students will receive credit for two of the following courses: TCH/SED 287, TCH 265, or EAF 228
• Elementary and Early Childhood majors may use TCH 287 as the art/music/theatre course required for the major

• Need to have completed two full semesters at ISU or other college/university

• Beach Head
• Alfriston
• Bodium Castle
• Arundel Castle
• Brighton
• Tickets to the Theatre Royal
• Several additional field trips will be available for students participating in this program at an additional cost, including trips to Oxford/Stratford and Stonehenge/Bath
